since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the worldmy blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry
—the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids’ flutter which sayswe are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life’s not a paragraphAnd death i think is no parenthesis
E. E. Cummings
A bit of poetry… just for the beauty of it
One Art
The art of losing isn’t hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master. Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.I lost my mother’s watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn’t hard to master.I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn’t a disaster.—Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan’t have lied. It’s evident
the art of losing’s not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.Elizabeth Bishop

Sunday poem
So, recently, Ernesto Priego wrote a series of poems inspired by Simone Weil’s book “Gravity and Grace”. To close the series, he invited everyone to fill in the ____________. This is the poem that I co-wrote with him, the words in italics are mine, the ones that are not are his. Thanks E, for the fun!
Today Gravity and Grace are dancing lindy hop in the roof.
Slowly but surely they let the flat-foot-floogie go up their feet and into their ears
“Men, it’s necessary to see them from on high,” says Gravity
“If you can walk, you can dance,” replies Grace.
Outside, the grass is covered by Summer’s dew.

Hey! This is post #50!!! Thanks to everyone who reads this… Thought nobody did, but recently I’ve found out my private exercise of introspection is more public than I liked to believe, so thank you. I promise to keep filling in The Blank Space as much as I possibly can. ¡Santé!
